Mobilities and Ceepus

CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) focuses on regional cooperation in university networks.

Why mobility and CEEPUS?

  • The CEEPUS programme supports international mobility of university students and staff. The aim is to support career development of persons working in education and to support students in acquiring the abilities that will contribute to their professional development and increase their employability.
  • The programme is designed for undergraduate students after completion of the second semester, postgraduate students and academic staff from public universities.
  • Students in bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree programmes will receive scholarship to cover their expenses related to their stay in a foreign university.
  • Scholarship in the programme can be achieved within university networks or individually (so-called freemover).
  • The programme has simple organization, the applications are processed one semester in advance.
  • The scholarship shall cover accommodation and boarding, and is paid in the host country.
  • Recognition of study is defined in the network projects.
  • Joint programmes in university networks and awarding of joint academic titles.
  • Scholarships may also be granted for the purpose of practical training provided that guarantee is given by the host university.
  • If your field of study is not included in the network, you can travel as a freemover.
  • Length of stay from 1 month.
  • Students do not pay any fees for lectures, registration, tests, access to libraries and laboratories, etc. Students must reside in the sending country involved in LLP.

Which fields of study are involved in mobility?

Bachelor’s degree fields:

  • Basics of technical sciences and information technology for education
  • Informational education with a focus on teaching

Master’s degree field:

  • Upper and lower secondary school teacher training in technical and informational education

Doctoral degree programme:

  • Didactics of information science

For details about the fields of study see the STAG system.

In other countries the fields of study may have different names but must be related.
