Offers from Office for International Relations at the Faculty of Education, Palacký University Olomouc, took part in the CEEDUCON 2025 – Central European Conference on Internationalisation of Higher Education which has been for years a key event dedicated to international cooperation and mobility in higher education across Central and Eastern Europe.

As always, the conference brought together hundreds of international officers, coordinators, academic staff and policy makers to exchange experience, discuss current challenges, and develop new ideas for future collaboration.

The programme was opened by a keynote delivered by the director of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS). Michal Uhl highlighted emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships and high-quality support services for students as well as shared European values which are corner stones of all the projects facilitated by DZS.

Throughout the event, participants could choose from a wide range of workshops – six running simultaneously – covering topics such as the use of AI in the work of international offices, the role of international alumni not only in strengthening the European job market, enabling inclusion in mobility programmes, and innovative forms of virtual mobility and internationalisation at home.

The diversity of sessions made the selection very challenging but ultimately enriching. Most of workshops offered practical insights and examples of good practice.

Our colleagues gained valuable contacts from partner institutions across Europe and collected many new ideas for future projects, mobility formats, and support services for both incoming and outgoing students. At the same time, the conference provided space for reflection, allowing us to compare our own processes and strategies with those of other universities.

We were pleased to see that the Faculty of Education at Palacký University is already performing very well in many aspects of internationalisation – from the quality of support offered to students to the development of new mobility opportunities. CEEDUCON thus confirmed that we are on the right path, while also giving us new motivation and inspiration for further improvements.
