ERASMUS+

Erasmus + is the European Union's education programme, which supports cooperation and mobility in all spheres of education, training and sport, youth and non-formal education. It is the successor to the Lifelong Learning Programme, the Youth in Action Programme and others.

 

Academic staff

Academic staff and students of the Institute of Education and Social Studies are involved in activities with foreign partners. In addition to the Erasmus + programme, Key Activities 1 and 2 include research collaborations, exchanges and internships with universities in Indonesia, Kazakhstan, China and the USA.

Mobility of teachers and students to partner universities is organized within the Erasmus + KA1 Programme. There is also considerable interest in the study of pedagogical disciplines among foreign students, e.g. from Spain, Germany, Italy, Mexico, China, Kazakhstan, etc. The Institute of Education and Social Studies has concluded mobility agreements with 30 foreign partners from Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands, Greece, Hungary, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

In addition, the workplace maintains intensive cooperation within the international VOICES network (www.european-teachers.eu). Other important partners are universities in Poland and Slovakia, and within the framework of bilateral agreements, partner institutions from Ukraine, the Russian Federation, etc.

The Institute of Education and Social Studies is also the guarantor of the doctoral study programme "Education" in English language. Among the graduates are students from China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

Since 2012, the Institute of Education and Social Studies has been a member of the following international strategic partnerships within the Erasmus KA2 programme projects focused on research, exchange of information and examples of good practice in the field of pedagogical disciplines.

The Institute of Education and Social Studies is the main researcher of the WAVE-IT project, Working Academics Value Excellence for International Teachers; ERASMUS + KA2; AGREEMENT number 2019-1-CZ01-KA203-061386 opened in December 2019.

In addition to teacher mobility and teaching of foreign students within the Erasmus + KA1 programme, academics and doctoral students also participate in foreign conferences (ICEPSY, ICLEL, EARLI, GETL, IPIE, etc.), where they present the results of their research, obtain valuable information and establish cooperation with new foreign partners.

The Institute of Education and Social Studies is also the organizer of annual international conferences of doctoral students and international weeks for academic staff (International Weeks).
